Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina meets as always, this Tuesday, 12/19 at 8 am.
At 8pm I will be leading a meditation on accessing sleep. Sleep is not something you need; you already possess the sleep that you crave. The key is accessing the sleep you want is to know how to integrate the distractions and interruptions in in our natural patterns of sleep. Join us if you want to learn how to sleep better. “Experiencing Beliefs”
Our next retreat is already scheduled for Wednesday, January 24th, from 9 am to 3 pm at the Villa Maria del Mar Retreat Center. At our next retreat we will be exploring the experience of beliefs and belief systems. Why is it that some beliefs we carry with absolute certainty, such as there is no Santa Claus. While other beliefs, such as I am a valuable and worthwhile individual, we often carry with far less confidence. Is trust and belief something that is random and unmanageable or are there resources within us that enable us to realign our internal systems with the realities of love and certainty. The Apostle John tells us the perfect love casts out all fear. Maybe he was on to something. We just need to grow in accessing the precious resource of love and confidence. Join us and kindly RSVP!

Rescheduled Saturday Bridge Building this Week
We are back on schedule, Saturday December 23th, distributing bagels, socks and lots of other items. Let me know if you’d like to join us. We depart my place at 12:00 (note we are beginning a half hour earlier). We then wend our way up to the Clock Tower to deliver clothing and enjoy 10 minutes of silence in the presence of the life force that surrounds us and is within us all. Somehow, I get a deeper appreciation of that life energy when I spend it in silence with others, even when surrounded by noise.
Also, Bread and Roses is asking for volunteers to serve oatmeal and coffee at the San Lorenzo Foot bridge by Trader Joe’s at 10 am this Friday 12/22 and again on 12/29. Calia will be away for the holidays.
