THIS WEEK AT STILLPOINT

ALIGNING OUR CORE IN CHAOS

DISCOVERING TRACTION IN TRANSITION

Hello Dear Friends,

By some standards last Saturday was a bit chaotic, the clothing table was active, people looking for treasures midst the piles of clothes.  Again thank the dear ladies at the Villages Episcopal Community for over 15 bags of clothes these past two weeks and the clothes from St John’s Helpful Shop in Aptos. Gratitude for our bagels is sometimes accompanied by words like these: Oh I love your bagels” and “These are my favorite bagels and I’m from New York.  There was  fair amount of chaos and noise amid thesilence and the lovely guitar music by Steve (see photo above).  He does not particularly like silence but accompanies our meditation before and after. He especially likes playing the guitar with me and gives me ample praise for my meager repertoire. It’s a beautiful community. Mel Nunez and others have observed how  silent meditation has an absorbing quality. the noises and sounds at the Clock Tower seem to be absorbed by the presence of God. My bagels and socks went quickly this week as I walked the San Lorenzo River.  By the time I got to the Clock Tower,  I only had two small bags of socks and 7 or 8 bagels left.  We’re building friendships and a network with the universe.

·      Come join us this Saturday 8/26 at the Clock Tower at 12:30 pm when we will be back again with socks, bagels, lox, and meditation.  Most importantly we willbe validating human life, all of us equally created in the image of God. Anticipate the “butterfly effect”:  our prayers and acts of love axiomatically have an untold effect. Also, we appreciate any clothing items you have to donate, or if you would like to support us financially in our bridge-building ministry contact us at Stillpoint: Joel@stillpoint.world or (831) 419-8290or https://stillpoint.world
