THIS WEEK AT STILLPOINT

ALIGNING OUR CORE IN CHAOS

DISCOVERING TRACTION IN TRANSITION

Hello Dear Friends

Last week my route to the Clock tower began with a slight left turn into the San Lorenzo Park where I met my friends Mark Wenzler and Maria Ferreira (in the picture above) and a celebration of the newly painted “Sea Serpent.”  The San Lorenzo Park Neighbors had gathered with food and music to commemorate the restoration of a Santa Cruz  icon that children have been climbing and playing on for over 4 decades.  The interaction and the music were delightful.  Cedric (my canine helper) and I  distributed a couple dozen bagels and socks to my housed and unhoused neighbors there in the park. By the time we made it to the clock tower we had several bags of clothing and only a dozen bagels left.  Gratitude to Emilie Holder and Jane Hink for keeping me supplied with clothes.  They go quickly at the Clock Tower.   Three or four met us eagerly for 10 minutes of silent meditation. Each week a few more observe from a safe distance and participate with caution.  Mindy, one of the newcomers, told me this week that she really needed to unwind, and find some peace and take time for silence.

·      Come join us this Saturday 9/2 at the Clock Tower at 12:30 pm when we will be back again with socks, bagels, lox, and meditation.  Most importantly we will be validating human life, all equally created in the image of God. Anticipate the “butterfly effect”:  our prayers and acts of love have an untold effect. That’s what keeps me going.  Also, we appreciate any clothing items you have to donate, or if you would like to support us financially in our bridge-building ministry contact us at Stillpoint: Joel@stillpoint.world or (831) 419-8290or https://stillpoint.world
